OneNote: Multimodal capture in Copilot Notebooks (iPhone)

Multimodal capture enables users to transcribe audio, take images, and type notes in a single session. Copilot then creates a structured Copilot Page with insights and user-captured content, saved to a user-selected Copilot Notebook. Designed for capturing offline work moments—including in-person conversations, whiteboard sessions, and personal notes. Other endpoints coming soon.

What changed

OneNote on iPhone now supports multimodal recording in Copilot Notebooks, combining audio transcription, image capture, and typed notes in a single session. Copilot organizes this content into a structured page with insights. Previously, users had to capture these elements separately. This feature supports offline scenarios like meetings and whiteboard sessions. Other platforms will add this capability soon.

Try this

Open the OneNote app.
Go to Copilot Notebooks.
On the notebook list page, tap Capture to transcribe the discussion, take photos, and type notes during the session.
